Everglades Restoration
The Everglades Summit in Washington D.C. was one of the most successful events for Everglades Restoration to take place in recent history. The people, organizations, Government departments and agencies, and Congressional leaders that attended spanned the myriad web of those interested parties. Both the allies and combatants, fortune seekers and conservation proponents were all in attendance with a General common goal and common knowledge that the Everglades belongs to the people of this Country and must be cared for as a National treasure.
The Everglades is a key element and largest land mass in Florida’s district 25. It has to be and it is a top priority for me as I run for Congress. The knowledge gained and passed at the Summit provides valuable sources to work with. I am proud and thankful to all the people that have been and continue to be involved in the restoration of our Everglades.
