The head line sounds like a bad Idea at first. “White House to Slash terror funding. ” There are way more issues in this headline than
terror.

Since when did the ” White House” get the ability to override a Congressional budget item. When does the “White House get to decide how the Country spends money that Congress is supposed to allocate and budget.

Who exactly is the “White House”? Are we refferring to Joe Biden, Michelle Obama, or the head chef? Who exactly at the “White House gets to decide these matters that belong to Congress.

Where are the members of Congress that should be letting the people know that they alone can and should be modifying the budget. Washington hasn’t done a very good job with the people’s money for a long time. Maybe the head chef could do a better job any way.

Why does the task of defending the entire country from terror get allocated to any State? Shouldn’t a National Department be guarding against attacks wherever they occur not just in any one State and certainly not in any one city. If the money is to be spent on a National problem at the national level then it should be spent on the Nation not on a city.

If you want New York to spend the money then let them keep the money in the first place. Why send the money through Washington to get dilluted and lost in Government? Just let New Yorkers keep their money and secure themselves.

Aside from the “White House” doing the slashing and the Country having less resources to protect itself and New York falling victim to terror scares, it would be a great idea for our Government to start “slashing” spending. Only everywhere it can would be a better place to start.
